Pride Before the Fall: Brief Analysis of the Late American Republic Bacchanalia

How Pride Month is Designed to Desentizize Americans to Public Displays of Sexually Degenerate Behavior

Recently, I had the pleasure (or displeasure, depending on who is reading this) of viewing Tinto Brass’ Caligula (1979) for the first time. The film examined a man’s descent into madness at the height of his power through increasingly deranged displays of debauchery; it was definitionally a spectacle. The film’s reputation proceeds itself as being ridiculously exhibitionist in its representation of Caligua’s perverted desires.

Caligula’s known infatuation and rumored incestuous relationship with his sister Julia Drusilla was of course included as a pivotal plot point in an otherwise disjointed film, where major scenes were mostly devoted to exhibiting increasingly debased and amoral sex acts. Regardless of Caligua’s devotion to personal pleasure, the film accurately portrays the Emperor’s consistent provocations of his Republic and the Senate. Caligula is shown to be a man so driven by a lust for control and influence over his elite, as well as his paranoia, which is generated as a means to upend his rule and personal demise.

Kink in the Vomitorium
Modern parallels are obvious. We see examples of ludicrous orgiastic behavior presented in the pornography of Caligula in our 21st-century public parades dedicated to the lesser gods of LGBTQ++

As we approach Pride Month, smaller communities, including Lefists, collectively shiver at the encroaching ‘Kink at Pride’ discourse.

The concern revolves around whether kink apparel, including leather dog masks, chains, chokers, hand-cuffs, and other paraphernalia renders the pride “activity” safe around children. Progressives complain that the discussion to be had is yet another descent into “respectability politics” in a lackluster effort to maintain the foundational elements of a “heteronormative society.”

However, removed from AWFLs and the other socialites that provide apologetics for degeneracy, whom it is difficult to claim they are operating from a position of malice; the most ardent pushers of kink knowingly realize that Pride is historically settled on the activity of sexual deviancy and knowingly harm children. 

American Degeneracy
The Stonewall riots in 1969 marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of radical American queer politics. The Counterculture of the 1960s enabled the socially maladaptive behaviors that were beginning to infect American social sensibilities. The Stonewall Inn, run by local criminals, catered to a myriad of unsavory groups, predominantly those of underground transexual communities, autogynephiliacs, and even those profiting from underage prostitution rings.

The riots that precipitated after New York Police raided the Inn on the grounds of child prostitution, caused backlash that sparked mass support and adulation within the Leftist-Queer community. It not only prompted increased formal political activity and social organization among queer youth, but in the following generations to come, it was mythologized despite its niche outreach and support of criminal activity.

Like Caligula, these displays of paganistic hedonism in Pride parades are meant to demean Western culture, shock public sensibilities, and numb the populace to increasingly unhinged public degeneracy.

Upon watching the film Caligula, you will begin to quickly notice that consistent exposure to the sexual spectacle is tiresome. You are lulled into a state of acceptance for what the movie is; a pornographic film. Although that is part of the novel appeal of the film, it is ultimately overwhelming to the point of boredom in which you are led into a nonchalant stroll through Sodom and Gomorrah.

Accumlinting degeneracy erodes the foundations of stable culture by supplanting the civilizational normalcy by which the vast majority of the people in a civilization orient their lives.
